For the history of Middle-earth has told of Melkor's wicked and evil deeds, and named him Morgoth. But the legends have not told of how the Dark Vala fell in love, from the Beginning of Time, with She Who Weeps.

Poseidon has, at this point, broken just about every rule in the book. If his younger brother were just a little more observant, he would be in untold amounts of trouble. It's just that if any traits of Poseidon's can be said to be admirable, it's that he is a very devoted father. Yes, he has countless children by countless different women (and men, too). But every single one of those countless children is his, wholly and completely, forever. Summary
Percy shouldn't be in Greece, he promised his mother that. Like he promised to not step foot into the Mediterranean Sea, no matter what. Because his father disappeared in it.
But the ocean calls him like a siren song and a current drags him and Rachel so far out that they could have drowned.His mother was right, he shouldn't have doubted her. But it won't be long until he discovers that she didn't tell him everything, that there is a much bigger threat lurking beneath the surface than the water itself. A threat that could have been avoided if he had just heeded her warnings.
His father never drowned at sea, but the truth is far more unkind than the lies mothers tell their children to keep them safe.
