Rei let go of Haru’s jacket. He felt bad for yelling at Haru, who was only ever trying to help. Rei could vaguely hear Haru continuing but wasn’t paying close attention. Eventually, he turned back to the wall, slumping to his knees and laying his forehead against it. Just like before.
Haru stopped speaking mid sentence when he noticed this. “...Rei-kun?”

Rei made his way down the stairs. It was quiet. The room felt oddly still. Maybe he was the first one to arrive. He figured it would be nice to have some time alone before anyone else decided to show. He could try to find a book to read or just kill time on his phone. A sort of calm before the storm that would be the other AppliDrivers’ arrival.
However, the thought was short lived, as a loud snore caught his attention.
