Summary
“Come be free with me.”
Luffy declares, because really, it wasn't in any slightest an offer. And the slave just looks back at him, the fear in their eyes slowly meshing between confusion and paranoia. It was like Luffy had spoken in a language that was completely foreign to them.
(Or, a story where Koby doesn't end up as a chore boy on Alvida's ship. Instead, it's someplace much, MUCH worse.)

Sunny? Sanji racked his brain, searching desperately for something to connect with that name. Slowly, through the haze, he caught glimpses of grass, a homey kitchen and tangerine trees. He could picture sails and a grinning flag with a straw hat. Could hear the trill of a violin, bubbling laughter and swords being sharpened and polished. Could smell sweet perfume, meat and ocean. A ship. Sunny.
“Home…” he whispered.
