Summary
When they'd opened the bottle of wine to de-stress after a long week of legal work, they hadn't necessarily planned to get drunk. However, once the bottle was open, neither was stopping the other from reaching for another glass. After all, it wasn't often that they got to enjoy the simple joy of being drunk and in love, laughing so hard it ached.
Or, Phoenix and Miles spend a quiet night in together and get tipsy.

It was the faint sound of a news broadcaster’s voice that woke Kay up from her slumber. It was a dull, droning voice coming from the TV in the living area, nothing too exciting. However, the fact that she could hear anything other than the clickity-clacks of Mr. Edgeworth’s keyboard or the Steel Samurai theme warranted an investigation.

Excerpt:
A faint brush against my palm. The gentleness of that touch frightens me, and I dare to break eye contact, glancing briefly at our joined hands. He’s drawing a very soft circle on my palm. The edges of the coin, he’s tracing them.
Terror sings up my spine. Cardan was looking for a weakness, and he just found it. My mutilated hand is viciously painful, more than I can bear, and he’s going to know. He’ll use it against me.
