Summary
In a world were Giants and Humans live in a perpetual tension fueled by centuries of hatred, Duncan is the only recorded hybrid in existence.

Duncan has lived his entire life knowing who his father is and what that means to him.
It means eyes and guns pointing at the back of his head, whispers about “monster”, “abomination” and “murderer” following wherever he goes, and a mother who looks at him like he both represents the light of her life and the doom she knows it’s coming.
Duncan knows it’s coming, too, when the alarms start blaring an two golden eyes, just like his, look into his soul and whisper.

The house is quiet but in a purposeful way, like when you drop a glass and stand frozen afterwards as though to hide from the sound you made. Tommy steps carefully down the hall making no noise and ducks his head around the corner before immediately recoiling. There, lounging on his grubby little couch are the werewolves, the smaller one is laid down while the terrifying one sits facing the hallway, obviously waiting for Tommy to come out. He lowers the bat and steps around the wall.
“What the actual fuck”A regular theft job goes sideways when Tommy frees two werewolves locked in a hunters basement, things take a turn when said werewolves follow him home.

Zuko had never excelled at anything. Azula was a prodigy. Uncle always knew what to say. And Father... Father was strong, iron-like. But Zuko had only ever been good at surviving. Putting one foot in front of the other in a grim show of stubborn determination, gritting his teeth and bearing it. Survival was all he had ever been taught. He knew how to do it. So when he was kidnapped by the Southern Water Tribe, he expected to fight as he always had. He didn’t expect to be taught instead how to live.
In a warring land, the Water Tribe forgave the enemy in an act of defiance. For this, he was torn from them, and this time, his wounds won't heal so easily.
Forced back into nothing but survival, the last person Zuko expected to see was Hakoda's son. Hakoda was a promise of safety. The relentless blue of Sokka’s eyes was a promise of happiness. Zuko could have both if he just reached out his hands, but he found them clutching into fists. After all, he’d been burned one too many times.
But hey, at least between Hakoda and Sokka, Zuko could appreciate the family resemblance of pure, asinine stubbornness.
