Hollyleaf is gone, and Dovekit has taken her place in the prophecy. But that doesn't mean Hollyleaf has stopped watching over her clan.

Summary
Sasha and Anne share a chorus of laughter, and Marcy doesn’t even try to follow along. She kept on staring at the cupcake resting on her lap, clasped in her hands, still untouched. Soon, the purple frosting will start to droop. And then, Anne and Sasha will start crowding her again, asking her are you okay, is everything okay, what's wrong?—questions Marcy will never know how to answer.
Everything. Everything is so, so wrong, and she doesn't quite know how to make it all stop. She doesn't know how to start laughing again, or talking like she used to, or stare at Anne and Sasha's face and not feel an ounce of regret or guilt. She doesn't think she'll ever be happy ever again, and it truly terrifies her. The world is moving on forward and soon, she'll be left behind. She will drown along with it and it's all she will ever deserve.
On her tongue, the cupcake tastes sickeningly sweet, and Marcy wished it would taste bitter instead.
OR, after everything ends, marcy still has some recovering to do.
