Summary
After Tim tries to save Batman from himself as he's self-destructing in his grief, Tim is severely injured (to the point of permanent injury). Now Tim is deciding that he will have to become something else to save Batman and Gotham. To honor his hero Robin (the deceased Jason), Tim will become a shadowy figure who builds a team of misfit heroes to combat Gotham's darkness and Batman's grief.
When Red Hood debuts in Gotham, there will be some confusion on Hood's part. Who are the Guards? Why do they not get along with Batman? What is going on? But once he meets them and their leader, he makes a lot of realizations as he grows closer to Sentry and his people. -

It was at that point that Danny realized that his ‘do it for the bit’ idea had bitten him in the ass like a reanimated hotdog. He got attached.
tldr; under the premise of 'do it for the bit' Danny had visited Gotham and 'conveniently' ran into Bruce Wayne considering he filled the adoption bait criteria, except slowly but surely through the way Bruce cared about him and even his other kids kept wanting to get to know him, Danny got attached. This is the aftermath of that when Batman finds him in Gotham after a not-so-great reveal to his parents.

Summary
Astra grows up in what others would consider an unusual home. Her mother, the sole heir of a vast fortune, allows them to live a comfortable life in the outskirts of London. Astra is home-schooled by private tutors and proven to be a quick learner in many of her subjects.
Shortly after Astra’s 15th birthday strange things starts happening around her. People that draw her ire have a strange series of bad luck. Nightmares causes storms to appear out of nowhere. She accidentally turns her clothes different colours. Later that same year, just at the start of the summer of 1890, two strange people knocks on the Prince family door. They introduce themselves as witches and wizards, and tell the young girl that she too has magical abilities.
Geneviève and Astra Prince are told of a school meant to hone the girls magical skills, far up in the Scottish highlands. The ministry representatives also tell her that Professor Eleazar Fig will be tutoring her before the term starts, so that she can catch up to the other fifth years.

“Master Tim, would you like to join us for breakfast?”
And there it was. Tim didn’t turn to look at them, he could feel that Dick and Jason’s eyes were locked on his back. He knew they were glaring. Bruce had stopped typing, probably holding his breath and dreading the day Tim didn’t say no. He hated the silence that stretched every time as they waited for his answer, staring him down, just daring him to accept.
“I can’t tonight, but thank you for the invitation, as always.” He wished he could put a frustrated emphasis on the last two words, but who was he to be rude to Alfred? There was a short pause, then Bruce began typing again. He knew Jason and Dick were now probably looking at each other, relieved.
“Well, the invitation remains open, as always,” replied Alfred.
When the light indicated Tim had reached the surface via one of the Batcave’s back exits, Dick broke the silence that had settled since he left. “So much for him being more willing to stay for breakfast with Jason and I here. We’re zero for who knows how many tries, I’ve lost count.”
OR: The Waynes concoct plans to invite Tim into the pack. Tim schemes up ways to satisfy his need for pack without the Waynes finding out.
