It’s amusing, if not completely surreal, to watch him set up the hair products in a row like soldiers. He marches away with the tub and reappears with the sound of sloshing water.

Travis scrutinizes her with narrowed eyes. He must decide she isn't mocking him because the corners of his mouth turn down in a self-deprecatory smirk.

“Name’s Remmick,” he offered, shrugging a little when she didn’t move.
“Hello, Remmick.”
She didn’t offer her own name. Relaxing further, in sharp contrast to how she was painfully aware of every muscle her body possessed, he went to slip his hands into the pockets of his trousers, but upon seeing how that only made her tense further, he aborted the move and raised his hands again in a half-hearted mimicry of his early display of being unarmed.
“I gotta admit, I wasn’t expectin’ you to be an English lass.”
“Oh? We crop up here and there in these parts, I wouldn’t think it too strange,” she held fast to her usual lie.
“Maybe not, but one who knows Gaeilge? That’s a far rarer thing.”

Told through multiple POVs, this story follows the mystery of Starling and how her very presence shakes the foundation of Piltover and the lives of Jayce, Viktor, Mel, Heimerdinger, Marcus, and even Silco. Set during the season one timeskip, this is a sloooow-burn character drama about identity, obsession, and the ripple effect of a woman who shouldn’t exist. Expect pining, drama, political scheming, friendship feels, and a healthy serving of “just kiss already.” You've been warned 😉
