“H-hi,” the guy said, shifting on his feet.
“Uh, hey,” Ned said back unsurely. There was an awkward pause between them and the guy looked down at the flowers in his hand, making Ned do the same. That was when Ned connected the dots on who this was. “Oh, oh, uh. Flower guy, right? From the party.”
The guy looked down for only a brief second before resuming eye contact. Though, this time, there was something more resolute in his guy that Ned couldn’t place. “I’m Peter,” the guy introduced himself with his free hand coming out to give a handshake.
