Her voice is level. Not soft. Not sharp. Measured, practiced, like it does not need to negotiate its place in the room.
Jax does not respond right away.
The heart monitor beeps beside him, elevated and insistent, a reminder he’s still tethered to something. its rhythm syncing unpleasantly with the migraine still pulsing behind his eyes.
He swallows. His jaw tightens.
“…Just me?” he asks.
The question comes out quieter than he expects. Not hopeful. Not afraid. Braced.
The woman follows his line of sight briefly, her eyes passing over the cords, the headset on the floor, the mess he made. When she looks back at him, her expression has not changed.
“No,” she says. “You are not my only patient.”
That lands.

“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.

Summary
One day, Kunikida finds Dazai in a different place than he expected. This will give him the flexibility to postpone his plans, and Dazai will get the attention and care he has been secretly needing for a long time.
This will lead them to open up to each other and learn to accept the emotional side of themselves that they have not accepted.
Sh mention, lots of emotions in the air, a silent atmosphere of a depressing day but like a silent peace of a sunset too.
