Summary
No one really expects Monoma, but for Shinsou, he really came out of left field - not just his apparent infatuation with courting him into 1-B, but also courting him elsewhere. And Shinsou isn't exactly against the idea, though he's never really felt like this before.
So it's like, you know, them figuring out their first crushes and shit like that, except Monoma is a bit more "experienced" than Shinsou, if you know what I mean. More in the author's notes!

UA’s spring comes with its own kind of honesty.
What starts as a simple literature assignment on love songs turns into something else entirely — a confession disguised as analysis, a panic attack in a courtyard, a hand offered in quiet understanding. Katsuki never meant to come out in front of the class. Izuku never meant to answer him back. But sometimes, love speaks in static and syllables before you even realize you’re listening.
TLDR:
Bakugou Katsuki’s presentation on The Smiths was supposed to be about literary analysis, not his gay awakening.Midoriya Izuku’s presentation on The Cure wasn’t supposed to turn into a public confession.
Now they’ve both accidentally turned a Literature 2A assignment into a love story — complete with panic attacks, cherry blossoms, and extra credit for true love.

Katsuki never was as close to someone as he was with Izuku in this time of his life. His younger self would probably be throwing a fit, but the him of today thought there was no one better to call his best friend.
So how did they get here now?
That’s a long story, but luckily Katsuki is always in the mood to tell it.
