Elphaba blinks.
Glinda smiles sweetly.

Truthfully, she can’t even open it. No, in a dreadfully unfortunate twist of fate — a joke of destiny, the stars utterly misaligned — only Elphaba Thropp, the grumpified green librarian, can.
