Summary
When Hermione has a blind date, of course she calls on Pansy to help her get ready, she's the Editor-in-Chief of Witch Weekly and she's the only friend of Hermione's that knows which way is up when it comes to fashion. She transfigures something acceptable out of Hermione's deplorable closet and thinks that will be that. Unfortunately for her, then she sees Hermione in the dress, and well, some rather rainbow shaded truths she's avoided come rushing to the surface. Doubly unfortunate when she hears about just who Hermione's been on her blind date with the next day. Just what is a resourceful Slytherin woman ever to do?

In the aftermath of the war, the strife and grief of rebuilding has worn Hermione down to the bone. She needs peace. Perhaps more than that she needs to know that all of the work they are doing will be worth it, that things will truly change for the world instead of going back to the status quo. Only one of those things is achievable with her means. She's drawn to a forest clearing she explored in her youth that brought her a sense that all was right long before she knew of magic, looking for that same sense of peace to find an answer to both of her needs, but only if she's willing to bargain.
