Azusa could not understand why Cafe Poirot was popular with the police. There was the Detective Mouri office upstairs, but the police don't usually go there. A lot of them had claimed that they recognized her co-worker Amuro, and she would joke with him that he had a secret twin brother who attended the police academy.
She didn't like the police because they were all about hierarchy and blind obedience to authority. That's why she was a fan of Kaitou Kid; not only does he outsmart the police, he makes a spectacular show doing it.

It didn't take Shinichi long to spot his mother when he arrived, but what caught most of his attention was someone else — namely the little boy with her.
His younger brother... apparently.
The reason he wasn't 100% sure about this was that he didn't even know about his existence until, like, yesterday evening.
Yes, for six years, his parents didn't bother to tell him about the new member their family gained while they were overseas, then they suddenly, casually told him over the phone that, from now on, the two of them will be living together.
Was it bad, Shinichi wondered, that he wasn't really surprised about it? It was pretty much the norm with his parents and he had to live with it.

The premiere’s after party was held in a hotel that was, unfortunately, also hosting an exhibit opening.
In hindsight, the producers probably assumed their cast and clientele would be wowed by the mingling of movie stars and noted artists and art critics and the buzz would blow up social media channels.
In reality…it meant a fight between drunk second wave feminists and male actors that could have won first place in what Kyoko was rapidly deciding to call the Oppression Olympics Between Rich Classists.
