Summary
There’s another part of her that wants to know. That wants to see how the town she left behind has changed in her absence. Whether it’s still the same place that held and twisted her into someone less than herself, or whether it's grown just as much as she has. Curiosity has always been Aoi’s downfall. Staring into dark corridors, the far shore, that haunted old town by the river- and wondering if she’ll see something looking back at her.
Besides- it’s been years since she’s seen the snow.
(or; ten years later, aoi comes home for christmas.)

Summary
something that is already wilting cannot continue to grow.
it doesn’t matter how hard you try; a useless flower in such a lively garden serves no purpose.
sometimes you have no choice but to get rid of it, no matter how attached you are.
