“So basically,” Eddie groaned, “we’re stuck.”
Buck shrugged. “We could always rent a car.”
“And drive to California?”
“Why not?” Buck said. “You know I hate flying.”
Eddie did know that. There was little he didn't know about Buck.

“Don’t do that.”
“I’m not doing anything,” She defended, smile still pulling at the corners of her lips.
