    Summary

“I wish you had gone to juvie.”

There was one of those automated clap-tracks on the television as another contestant got the question correct. Gallagher’s eyes were dark as the blue lights of the television screen threw weird shadows onto his face. Mickey wished, almost idly, that there was more lighting in the Milkovich household, if just so that Gallagher didn’t look so ominous. He picked up the remote and muted the TV.

A canon-divergent story from 1x09, in which Tony Markovich suspected foul play and coerced an unwilling Mickey Milkovich into revealing the truth about Kash Karib.

    Summary

And then there’s Fiona. Mickey’s always liked her; she’s snarky and quick-witted and doesn’t take anyone’s shit—he can see where Ian gets it from.

But beneath all of that, under the sharp edges and determined front, she’s all soft inside. He can tell from the way she is with the kids: from the way she soothes them when they’re upset or anxious or scared; from the way she still cooks for them all and hands them brown-bag lunches out the door, even though they’re practically all grown; from the way she loves them.

He can tell from her eyes. They’re soft, earnest. Like MIckey imagines a mother's would be.

Or: Mickey and Fiona have a conversation about childhood, being raised by your sibling, and the people we become when we have no other choice.
