REWRITE OF: Time Flies By (Bye) but with some fun (and angsty) changes!
“So that was a total failure.”
At least saying it out loud helps because those phone calls sure didn’t. In fact, they only confirmed the worst of panic-stricken ideas that have been looming in a space of Peter’s mind he calls “The Irrational Panic Zone.”
The Irrational Panic Zone (Peter almost wants to trademark it) includes thoughts such as: “Everyone actually remembers me but pretends that they don’t because they hate me,” and, “I killed my aunt,” and, “Your neighbor is actually a spy for Nick Fury because he knows everything and is a horrible, horrible man,” and, “It’s your fault Thanos won the first time,” and, most recently, “This is not your universe.”
Y’know. Thoughts that would send him into a totally rational panic at any given moment, making it therefore irrational to think about them. It all works out.
(Or, Peter Parker wakes up in Gotham and no one is particularly happy about it.)

Summary
Two years after the events of No Way Home, Peter responds to an emergency at Fisk Tower, where things go sideways. And while Peter was really hoping he could go to another dimension to visit Peter 2 and Peter 3, or just any other Peter at that point, this sort of dimensional travel isn't exactly what he was hoping for. With just Karen at his side, Peter crash lands (literally) into Gotham and has to learn to survive there as both Peter and Spider-Man with the help of a few Bats and Birds and a very nice blonde that reminds him a little too much of Ned.

Summary
After the world forgot him, Peter kept fighting. He was Spider-Man after all. But as the villains get worse and the heroes dwindle, Peter finally grows tired. Hasn't he done his time? He's never once shirked the responsibility forced upon him. Never once has he put himself first.
Eventually, the straw breaks the camel's back. Peter finally hangs up the cape.
Unfortunately the universe seems to disagree. When Peter wakes up in Gotham he knows he should probably find a way home. But what's the point? Normal people don't find their way home across the multiverse, and Peter is normal now. He refuses to be anything else.
So why do unfamiliar heroes keep ending up on his doorstep? And can he really turn them away?

Summary
Peter wakes up in a strange place, some unfamiliar city that feels like it's lost all hope for the future, just like he has.
After losing his family, his mentor, everything Peter couldn’t bear the thought of watching his friends and the girl he loved fall to the same fate. He chose isolation, erasing himself from their lives to protect them from the curse of knowing him. So waking up in this unknown place almost felt like a second chance. No attachments. No risks. No more pain for anyone else.
But for reasons he can’t explain, Peter keeps finding people. People in need. People broken like the city itself. And no matter how hard he tries to keep his distance, he ends up helping them again and again.
Maybe the world hasn’t given up on him just yet.
Or maybe… he hasn’t given up on it. -

When he finally gets the door open, there's a man standing in the middle of his room. Red Hood. He looks incongruous in Peter’s space, with his sturdy combat boots brushing against a dirty t-shirt that got left on the floor last night.
“Hey, that was pretty fast,” he says brightly. “I’d love to see how fast you can go when you aren’t taking detours to lose a tail first.”
OR
That one where Peter ends up in Gotham after the events of NWH and is determined to stay on his own so that nobody can get hurt, but the Bats refuse to get the memo.
