Summary
After their idiotic fight over Keeley, Roy and Jamie go for kebabs and Roy asks Jamie more about what he'd said at Bones & Honey about male role models in his life. Jamie realizes that he really should tell Simon how much he appreciates his stepdad, especially after putting up with him when he was a teenager. A text the next morning leads to more conversation between Jamie and Simon than they've ever had before, and Jamie starts to understand that maybe Simon isn't just the dorky guy who married his mum, that the two of them are proper family, too.

Summary
Having returned to Richmond, Jamie is slowly but surely mending bridges and finding his place on the team again. However, as Christmas draws near he struggles with how to reconnect with his mother after distancing himself from her over the past year.
When seemingly sent a sign how to make things right, Jamie is determined to grab the opportunity with both (albeit slightly clumsy) hands—even if it does involve fomer rival turned retiree Roy Kent.

Summary
“What the fuck is this? What are you doing here?” Roy asked after what seemed quite some time with his eyes squinted, like he wasn’t about to go meet Jamie at his house himself.
Jamie gives a small easy laugh and offers the bouquet he was holding to Roy, who recoils, still not sure this wasn’t a crazy deathtrap.
“Hey, calm down, old man, this isn’t the war, it’s just some lilies,” Jamie still holds out the flowers and tries to get them closer to Roy who still flinches back “Lilies are cute pretty flowers, they’re no harm, don’t worry.”
Roy still raised an eyebrow at him and Jamie rolled his eyes and brought the flowers close to his own face and gave them a good whiff.
“See? Not dead, no need to worry, okay?” Jamie says offering the bouquet back to Roy who reluctantly accepts after a couple of seconds, smelling it tentatively. It was a nice smell. I mean, all flowers kind smelled like funerals in some way or another, but these were nice.

“Guys, Jamie and Roy have been boyfriends for months now,” Dani tries to reason with the team. “I’ve seen they share a passionate kiss.”
Jamie is quiet seeing the chaos unfold with a huge grin on his face.
“Are you sure you were not seeing things, Dani?” Sam asks, voice full of politeness “Maybe they got really close because they were about to fight, like they used to do all the time in the locker room.”
“Their lips touched, Sam! I could feel their love from the other side of the parking lot!” Dani exclaimed exasperated.
“C’est impossible!” Richard speaks up and Jamie is laughing hard at this point “You must’ve been drunk, mon ami.”
