Summary
“Sorry, baby.” Mira’s smirking, now, and it’s soo unfair, how hot she is; so unfair just how affected Zoey is, from words that are for all intents and purposes so tame. “You playing your game?”
“Uh-huh,” Zoey manages. “Yeah, we’re between matches.”
“Live?”
“Yeah, it’s- Mira, what-”
“You’re playing with other people, right?” Mira asks, coming to a stop right in front of her, and Zoey knows that look, the determined heat simmering in dark brown eyes, the sharp curl of pretty lips up at the corner.
Zoey knows that look, and so she squeaks, “Yes,” and tries not to come in her pants as Mira sinks slowly, smoothly, to her knees.

Summary
Zoey and Rumi meet every day on the same beach where they met, always at dusk.
Zoey can't understand why her girlfriend never wants to meet her anywhere else, why they never go on dates, why Rumi doesn't seem to trust her.
Hearts wounded by the weight of Rumi's secret almost drove them apart in their attempts to fight for what they have. Until Rumi decides she no longer wants lies and secrets to come between their relationship.
She just needs to face her own fear and tell the truth about who she really is, hoping Zoey can forgive her for her lies.

Summary
“How long?” Mira finally said, after what seemed like an eternity. “How long have they hurt?”
“My whole life?” Rumi said, as if she wasn’t sure. And in truth she wasn’t. “I was born with the markings, but they started to spread more dramatically when I was a teenager. That’s when I noticed the pain.”

Summary
Mira scoffs again, but she’s sure it hardly comes across given how hard she’s smiling. “You literally have given me no time to move, Zoey,” Mira helpfully reminds her, shifting so she’s facing the door; she’s never liked having her back to any door, even here in the hanok. Habit, or whatever. “There. Comfortable. Exceedingly comfortable. Your bed is great, Zo. Are you happy?”
Mira feels like the air has been punched out of her lungs when she feels Zoey’s arms snake around her, one of Zoey’s legs hooking on top of her own, with Zoey’s head coming to settle against her shoulder, breath warm against Mira’s ear when she murmurs, “Yup. This is the best day of my life, actually.”
“Yeah?” Mira asks, her voice coming out far too shaky.
“Uh-huh,” Zoey agrees, without a beat of hesitation. “Is this okay?”
“Yeah,” Mira whispers, feeling her breath hitch in her throat.
(or, mira can't sleep, zoey fixes that problem, and mira very quickly comes to the realisation that she's Doomed)
