Stede looked pleased at him noticing the details of his attire. He shook his head and returned, “No, the suede does you well.”
“But nothing like all this.” Jacob reached to grip Stede’s lavishly embroidered lapel between his fingers, the back of his hand sliding underneath the jacket as he did so. “Are these waves?”
Stede was oblivious as he explained the stitching work but Ed was furious. Okay Jacob wasn’t just a cocky asshole, he was a cocky asshole attempting to seduce Stede right in front of him.

Stede’s pet project of starting up a line of scented olive oil takes its first steps as they secure a seller for their test products. Word of The Gentleman Pirate has spread around the Republic of Pirates and one pirate in particular would like to know Stede firsthand, putting Ed’s patience to the test.

Stede's birthday is coming up and all he really wants is a pirate themed party. His boyfriend thinks he's being childish and stupid. The handsome stranger in the cake aisle disagrees.

“Pirates, is it?”“Please don’t tease. I really don’t think I can handle any more ridicule today.”
“Shit, no I didn’t mean it like that. I’m a bit of a pirate nerd myself. Can I show you something?” He began unbuttoning his dress shirt before Stede could form the words to answer.
“What are you doing?” he started to ask, trailing off quickly as his mouth went dry at the sight of the man’s bare chest where he had pulled his undershirt all the way up. Stede was too distracted to finish speaking by the overall impression: a canvas of ink covered skin, muscular and soft in all the right places, a tantalizing trail of dark hair leading Stede’s eyes down, down…
Fuck. Focus, Bonnet.
He dragged his focus back to the inked images which were surely the point of this man’s public indecency.

Lucius turns toward Ed wearing a smirk that he wants to wipe off the boy's smug face. “Introductions!” he trills, the stranger still obscured by the bodies of Frenchie and Wee John. “Stede Bonnet, meet Captain Edward Teach, more colloquially known as Blackbeard. Captain, Mr. Stede Bonnet, also known as the Gentleman Smuggler.”
“Please, Lucius. No one calls me that!”
“That’s ‘cause no one knows you're the one responsible for supplying all the lonely wives of Bridgetown with their ‘romance novels’,” Wee John says.
“Not just the wives—and I’d prefer it to stay that way. Now, move! It’s terribly rude to greet someone without looking them in the eye.”

It’s not unheard of to stumble upon some poor marooned bastard after rowing ashore, but they’re usually half mad with hunger and meaner than a snake—not impeccably groomed gentlemen that shout at him for disrupting butterflies.
Priceless discoveries abound.
