Summary
Two Time has wronged Azure. They know this. The fact haunts them, so much so that it manifests itself in this twisted afterlife in a jagged, creeping form that looms taller than any shadow against the trees.
The Spawn has wronged Azure. The evidence is in the black, spiny column of their wings, the cold glow of their halo, the tremble in their iris when he takes their first life from them as easily as plucking the petals from a flower. Whoever is in control of this place entertains Two Time's delusions, the mere idea that they might have been right to sacrifice him on that snowy day eons and eons ago.
They circle each other, lost in the rhythm and heat of these rounds, like microdosing on reunion and revenge. Like petals fluttering along the wind. They love me not, they love me...
So it only feels natural to reach for each other as the other survivors fall. Searching for answer. For something. His hand wraps around that tattered wing. A physical manifestation of all that he loathes to look in the eyes and all that he once, naively, held dear.
A representation of what Two Time holds dear to them, now.
