Shyness tickles Shouto's cheeks, but when Katsuki tilts his hand this way and that with little rhyme or reason, he realizes where his gaze fixates: the ring. Shouto had nearly forgotten about it himself, but Katsuki has a way of doing that to him.
If he leans more towards ambivalence over the ring and all it represents, then Katsuki makes up for that by loathing it, and it's been that way for as long as they've known each other.
