After an agruement with his king/soon-to-be mate, Sun Wukong. Liu’er Mihou aka Macaque returns back home where he stumbles upon a stone egg. Upon hearing the babies future Macaque gives up everything to run. Little did he know how much trouble one little monkey could be, and now he may just need his former king/ex to help him protect the boy from heaven itself. Just what has Macaque gotten himself into?!

Summary
What makes a hero?
MK thought he knew.
A hero, to him, was someone who protected everyone. They put the world before themselves. They're the most selfless, kindhearted people you'll ever meet, saving innocent lives and sparing those that cross them.
But when a new threat rises, MK learns a harsh truth. Not every hero wins the day, and not everyone could be saved. Even the strongest falter, and the brightest lights often cast the darkest shadows.
And yet, not everything is lost. From honing strange new senses to wrangling newborn cubs, MK had grown into his life as a monkey demon, meeting others of his kind and learning their culture. He’s discovered something worth fighting for. These were his people, and this was his home.
But with that discovery comes a harsher lesson. To protect what’s most precious, you must sacrifice your morals. Sometimes, you can’t even protect yourself.
So when clouds gathered over Flower Fruit Mountain, and snow fell far too early, MK knew his world was about to change again.

Summary
Monkey King was winning. He had been winning. Everything was almost over. Mk could barely see what was happening, but he was sure Monkey would win.
That was, until he could notice a grin spread onto the Lady Bone Demons face, and suddenly Mk was cold, and pain rushed through his back. He screamed, then as he could see Monkey King rushing to his side, everything went blank.
And whispers began to haunt his mind.

Or, Mk gets possessed instead of Wukong. And Mk has to learn how to heal and rely on his friends, even an unlikely friend.
