When Washford was a melodramatic washing machine, he never had to worry about his eyes tiring out whenever he read long into the night and into the early hours of the morning. In fact, he could digest so many pieces of literical excellence that it felt that his eyes were being blessed rather than fatigued. Unfortunately, even though Washford's hunger for the written word remained the same once he and his beloved Drysdale were realized, metal turned to flesh, the persistent strength of his eyes weakened.
