Okay, yeah, this looks bad, but in Jake’s defense—actually, fuck that! This is one hundred percent Khonshu’s fault and Jake shouldn’t have to defend himself at all. He wasn’t the one who decided to show up at this piece of shit warehouse in Cairo to fuck up a human trafficking ring on the exact same night as the one and only goddamn Layla El-Faouly.
(Or, Jake and Layla have an unfortunate meet-whatever-the-opposite-of-cute-is.)
