Summary
There are a small group of curses that don't 100% distort their host's true name. The hosts would still exhibit the most common symptoms of the malnomen which is an uncontrollable thirst for blood, triggered by a sudden cold feeling within the afflicted and the desire to warm themselves with the blood of another. This small group of curses befriend the host, gain their trust before the inevitable happens. The malnomen will be in full effect once the host falls in love but it is not reciprocated. If it was to be removed then the host will lose their emotions as well but what other option besides removing it or killing the host?

Summary
Chongyun was tasked to infiltrate the palace and kill all the royal family by a secret rebellion group. He was also part of that group but the longer he stayed in the palace, the more he fell for Xingqiu, the emperor's son.
He needs to finish his job but no matter how much he tried, he couldn't do it. The rebellion group's leader isn't too happy about that and assigned a more...willing assassin. Chongyun tried his best to protect Xingqiu but one day the group planned an ambush attack on the palace, exposing everything.
