Summary
The kid looks at Alastor. Then at her spellbook. Then back at Alastor.
"You're not a dog," she says.
Alastor wrinkles his nose. "I should hope not."
(Or: Six-year old witch, Imogen Woods, steals her late grandmother's spellbook and tries to summon a hellhound, hoping for a puppy to become her new familiar. Instead, she accidentally summons one of the most powerful beings in Hell, Alastor, the Radio Demon.
They strike a deal where Alastor must celebrate Imogen's birthday on earth with her every year until she is eighteen. In return, he gets her soul ... terms and conditions permitting, of course. Unfortunately, deals are difficult to maintain when Alastor begins to feel like a father to the very witch who summoned him.)

Summary
He viewed the stars in the same way I viewed the ocean, infinitely big, unending, uncaring. I wondered if he’d ever thought about dying before, considering he lived like a dead-man, as I had a long time ago, and suddenly there was a part of me that found it rather unjust that there was no way for him to skim the edge of the stars as I’d skimmed the surface of the oceans; although, if we’d simply looked to the side to the waters instead of up at the stars, we’d have seen the stars reflected on its surface and known we had been swimming in them all along.
Ishmael thinks of her time before and during Limbus Company, and the coworker she finds herself seated with.

Summary
On my first day of work, I met a woman called Ishmael. I had trouble not staring her hair, a vivid shade of orange so bright it seemed to glow in any sort of light. Something compelled me to sit down next to her. In part, I soon realised, it was in hopes that everybody would stare at her vibrant hair in the same way she had caught my eye at first, so that they would look at her and not me, and I could simply sink into her shadow.
Meursault recalls his time with his coworker and her sun-coloured hair.
