Summary
He wasn’t meant to survive the end of the world. But he did.
After the Fourth Shinobi War leaves the world in ruins, Kakashi is forced to stake everything on an altered Hiraishin jutsu, stronger and more volatile than the original, created as a one-time gamble when there is no one else left. It was never meant to promise survival, only the chance to send someone back.
The people he failed are alive again. The future he came from no longer exists. Somewhere beneath this second chance, remnants of that ruined future have followed him back. And beneath the familiar surface of the world, something ancient and ruinous is beginning to stir.
As Kakashi struggles to navigate a second chance he never asked for, he’s drawn into secrets buried deeper than war or politics. The Hatake clan carries a long-forgotten history tied to powers that existed before chakra shaped the world, and something in Kakashi has begun to awaken in response.
Caught between grief, guilt, and bonds that refuse to stay buried, Kakashi is forced to confront the past, the people he lost, and the parts of himself he’s never truly understood. Because this time, saving the future may mean unearthing truths that should’ve remained hidden.

“There’s something about you, I just can’t place it.”
“Then don’t try. Leave me alone so I can sleep.”
Shisui leaned close enough Shuji could count his eyelashes if he tried. He decidedly did not. Shuji remained on the bench, book resting on his chest, and met Shisui’s eyes without hesitation. Uchiha were always weird, but Shisui certainly came out as top dog weirdo.
“Have we met before? I feel like I would have remembered someone like you.”
“Absolutely not.”
…
.

Shuji woke up in a war-torn world, and as he inhaled, he also killed for the first time. Summary
I was okay with going on another adventure. I like the challenge, especially considering how bonkers this place was already. Crazy magic, er, chakra? Fine. Aliens? New, but definitely down for it. Fighting another champion of the gods? Hell yes! But tell me why that petty bitch Fate decided to completely blind me in exchange for my original abilities and OP peepers that an entire fucking clan already had acsess to.
Okay, fate, you wanna go there? Fine, but ima fuck up your plans for this place so hard you won’t even recognize it when I’m done.
Bring it on.
