Akira can feel the heat of the detective, the traitor, feeling the tremble of his hand as the gun digs a little deeper into his forehead.

    Akechi smiles.

    Akira can only think, for that brief moment, about how sad that fake smile is.

    A bang.

    Loud, it rings Akira’s ears, stings the skin of his face with burning embers.
