A Persona 5 Royal rewrite where Joker is not the sole focus. Story idea inspired by the "Yu-Gi-Oh!" Franchise and "Reforming the Shattered" by Dev0ted. Mixes in Elements from P5 Royal, Unused P5 Royal Events, and P5 The Animation.

Akira took a sip from his mug. It tasted exactly like he believed a good coffee should taste – which, in that specific room, made him feel on edge. “[Can you tell me anything about the world Yaldy banished me to?]”
“[In many ways, a future,]” Igor described. “[A frontier of civilization, sandwiched between multiple powers vying for the area and its resources. Very dangerous – arguably more dangerous than your time. The threats are more overt, at the very least.]”
In a last ditch attempt to beat the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, the God of Control banishes them to the/a future - namely, the Nevada of the early 2280s. The eight scattered Thieves (and a plus one) need to survive the wild west of the Mojave long enough to reunite and return to their world, and inevitably get embroiled with the area's struggles.

To say Akechi's life has been hard is an understatement. After he was framed for a crime he didn’t commit, the guy really does not have it easy.
Convicted of assaulting a man, expelled from his school, and put on probation, he must attend Shujin Academy in the city Shibuya for one year. If he makes it through his probation, he has the chance of having his record wiped clean and being able to live a normal life. If not, he can say goodbye to his future.
Akechi vows to stay away from anything that could land him into any more trouble.
But sadly, this was a promise that couldn't be kept. For fate had other ideas, for him to take on the role of a trickster and topple corruption.
