Chay knew he had it for a while, but he was working around it by getting Kim to like him back. And to an extent, he thought he had been successful.

But the words,' I'm sorry.' were like the premium grade fertilizers for the white rose stems tickling his throat.

    Summary

“You’re the son of a mafia leader?” Porchay asked. “Wow, I can’t believe Wik is a member of the mafia! This is so surreal, but so, so cool.” Kim thought his eyes looked a little glazed over. Star-struck.

“Listen, Porchay, my name is Kim, not Wik. And I’m not here to play into any of the idiotic fantasies that I’m sure are running through your thick head right now. Don’t come knocking on my door, don’t ask me for anything, and don’t bother me."

Or: Wik never becomes Chay's guitar tutor, Chay doesn't get kidnapped by Tawan but still moves into the main family's compound, Kimhan Theerapanyakul makes a return to the mafia scene after a scandal puts his music career on hold, and Chay and Kim find themselves gravitating towards each other.
