    Realising how their choices have contributed to the end of everything, the Fates seek the last remaining demigod, Percy Jackson, as their final hope to correct the many mistakes that led to this moment.

    Given the chance to make things better for his loved ones and so many lost souls, Percy embraces the one thing that his dad once said to him. The sea does not like to be restrained, and for the sake of the world, Percy will no longer be restrained.

    Ruthlessness is a mercy, and those who stand against Percy will very quickly find themselves at his mercy.

    But stubbornness is in his blood, and he'll shove himself into every significant event in ancient history until either 1) the Fates get so annoyed they send him back, or 2) Annabeth gets so sick of seeing his name in the Classics she invents time travel just to get him to stop.

    Apollo was having a perfectly good morning- right up until he vomited down the side of the sun chariot. Which was incredibly strange, if you asked him, because gods simply do not get sick.
    As if that weren’t strange enough, an unintended meet-up with Percy Jackson in a Target parking lot revealed that the demigod was hearing prayers- something that Apollo was actually not responsible for, despite what Percy seemed to think.
    Apollo didn’t need his prophetic powers to know this was going to be a looong day. But hey- at least he got to spend it with Percy. (Which, naturally, improved things considerably).

    Her son’s soulmark, the one held closest to his heart, had a soft, golden glow peeking out from underneath the medical bandages. The glow seemed to become brighter, though not overpowering. Soft, comforting light. It reminded her of the sun, in a way.

    As her eyes adjusted, she found she couldn’t have been more right.

    Over her son’s heart spells the name Apollo, in gold cursive. The font shimmered, almost glittering as her son shifted on the bed. Every stroke of every letter seems purposeful, carefully branding her son. Out from behind the name is the image of a sun. A lyre is also depicted, and if Sally pays close enough attention, the strings seem to move slightly, as though someone is playing it.
