Summary
John sets a more necessary intention: being Dr Watson. Providing a helping hand; being a caretaker. Sherlock is nothing but his patient. And since Sherlock’s hair is amply wet from the failed shower attempt, John gets right to work, back down to his knees, lathering the shampoo between the palms of his hands before pushing his hand through Sherlock’s curls, kneading the shampoo in with the pads of his fingers.
“Mm,” Sherlock hums after a few moments, which makes John hedge a glance, finding that Sherlock has his eyes closed, his face already slack and relaxed.
(Making the patient comfortable.)
After using the detachable shower head to wash off the shampoo, John marches on to the conditioner, sinking fingers into the hair at the nape of Sherlock’s neck, skating up under the curve of his skull and scratching at Sherlock’s scalp.
“Yes,” Sherlock purrs.
“Good?” John asks, scratching back and forth, back and forth.
(Well-mannered bedside manner.)

Summary
Sherlock's parents believe that John and Sherlock are dating (again) now that Sherlock is back from the dead and John and Mary are divorced. John agrees to play along so that Sherlock's parents aren't let down, what could possibly go wrong?
Basically what it says on the tin: Fake Relationship, Bed Sharing, and Love Confessions.
P.S. This has been sitting on my desk top for over two years, thus it is not series 4 compliant and I didn't have the energy to rewrite it to make it that way. :) Enjoy.
