Merlin doesn't know what to make of this impossible prince. As it happens, Arthur doesn't know what to make of Merlin either.
Needless to say, between Merlin's instinctive magic and Arthur's inability to sense anything but Merlin's magic when he's in the vicinity, they're going to have to learn to co-exist, for the sake of both their secrets.
Or: Arthur is magic-sensitive, and he's just met the most powerful sorcerer to ever walk the earth, though neither of them know it. Yet.

He came upon a five-year-old Syaoran, orphaned on the run from sorcerers out for his blood. Syaoran found a protector and a parent in Yue, and Yue found a new purpose and reason for happiness in Syaoran. However, six years later, Sakura becomes Card Master instead of Syaoran, which means Yue's first allegiance is to her. Now, the two have to adjust to the changes this inflicts on them.

Summary
When Albion calls Merlin, he returns to puzzle out why. Meanwhile, two years of peace are shattered when Harry Potter is attacked and left badly beaten, the Elder Wand stolen from his grasp. Then a sword appears in front of Buckingham Palace and a dragon escapes from Wales. As the Ministry of Magic and the Order of the Phoenix scramble for answers, Merlin gathers his allies (both old, new and unexpected) as he prepares to greet Albion's Darkest Hour. Morgana declares war in a single, devastating blow that leaves England's wizards stunned beyond words, making it clear that the time of the Once and Future King is upon them... if only they knew where he was. Will wisdom learnt through the eyes of Minerva's owl be enough to prevent disaster?
