As if Sylvanas could not be aware. Jaina had turned it into an obsession, driving the woman to march around and accost her rangers at all times of the day, dragging them into menial conversations about the weather, or their shift, or what poetry they had read last.
“Ranger Anya recommend this volume to me, and it’s - well, frankly, it’s beautiful poetry, if a bit archaic in nature. The language is more difficult, however. I require…practice.” Jaina shrugged fluidly, shoulders moving under loose fabric - fabric so sheer that, lit against the fire, Sylvanas could almost see the rounded outline of them as she moved.
OR: In a world settled by a peace Treaty, months into slowly-becoming-a-happily-married-couple, Jaina reads poetry, much to the devastation of Sylvanas.

Summary
Jaina Proudmoore - Heir to the Admiral Fleet, established Tide Sage, and the biggest loss to the Kirin Tor since it's founding - was keen to volunteer in a cultural skills exchange with the Quel'Thalssian military, Kul Tiras' latest ally. Their land military was in shambles, and the elves had virtually no concept of a functioning navy. All things considered, it should be rather straightforward.
But the threat of something deep in the ocean looms - and the Daughter of the Sea must be prepared to face it.

Celine’s rules have kept her alive. Celine’s rules have kept her safe and warm and loved. Celine loves her, and because she loves her, she tells her that she can’t bond with her pack, her girls. If they found out— if they found out, it would be over. Celine tells her that it would be over because they’d kill her, that they would use their weapons against her, but all Rumi hears is that it’d be over because they would stop loving her and maybe that would kill her before their blades ever could.

"Bobby," she says, watching him carefully. "You're making a big deal out of this. What's wrong?"
His shoulders tense before easing into an odd half-relaxed state. Bobby turns to her, head tilting just so, a funny little furrow in the middle of his brow. A frown looks uncomfortable on him, cheeks sagging. "You just should have given us some time to prepare is all."
"Okay," Rumi says, though it sounds like a question. "I'll… keep that in mind for next time?"
"Maybe you should stay in town tonight," he adds. "It's dark out. Going to be hard to find your way through the forest—I'm sure Celine hasn't left the lights on along the path."
"I'll be fine," she insists with a dismissive wave. She leans her weight onto one leg and shakes the numbness out of the other. "Like riding a bike."
Or: Rumi has spent four years away from her hometown. Now that she's graduated, she's ready to visit her family again. But time has left her behind and things have changed—and someone else has taken her place.

Summary
Failing numerous times to escape the Ninth, Gideon gave up the ghost and settled into her forced servitude. The Emperor made no request for the Houses to attempt the Lyctor Trials. Gideon’s miserable life went on in the Ninth House, plateauing into a tedious rinse and repeat cycle of waiting for the seemingly unattainable sweet release of death. The monotony is broken when someone makes it their mission to murder the Ninth House scion. Somehow this becomes Gideon’s problem.
As if it was a universal rule, Gideon’s pitiful life gets worse in the drill shaft. (Get it? The Ninth is a pit and it sucks- whatever).
AU- Gideon becomes the Ninth's cav and tries to keep Harrow alive, without it killing her first.
