Nick would go for a move he internally called “Old Faithful”: he’d fake a yawn, stretch his arms out to his head, then slowly, slowly wrap it around her shoulders and pull her in close. Did he have to go through the rigamarole of pretending to be tired so he could get Judy to nuzzle into his side? No, not really, but it made him feel like she wouldn’t be as likely to call him out on it.
Meanwhile, Judy usually played the long game, trying to methodically inch over towards her fox over the span of the move until she was right next to him. She knew she could jump the gun and snuggle into him right at the start without any complaint, but this was part of their little dance, neither one willing to openly address the simmering tension between them.

I raised my hand up to grab the students’ attention. Like most classrooms, it took a second, but they all turned their attention onto me.
“Alright class, please each of you come to the front.” I didn't want to explain right then, yet the students followed my order and came just in front of my desk.
Right. Ok. Now for the fun part. The stoneipede is made of, well, stone similar to an Eridian so dropping a book on it like I want to won't do much harm. But I do have a screwdriver. Its something helpful to keep on hand when you have many little rocks running around breaking things (on purpose or not). I carefully pull it out and inform the kids to stay by the desk.

Grace pressed his hand briefly against the wall before sitting down in the chair he'd long since arranged just so. He'd had the chair for years. It was not a comfortable chair. It had started as an uncomfortable chair and time had made it worse. He'd asked the Eridians for a better one three times, and three times they had built him something xenonite-adjacent that suited Eridian sensibilities and did not suit his lumbar spine whatsoever. He had stopped asking.
