Summary
Prince Soren is everything Daein does not exalt: he is small, slender, and too physically weak to be intimidating even though he is intelligent and a fearsome mage. His father ignores him unless Soren can be useful, his subjects pretend he does not exist or are outright hostile to him, and the only ones who show him any kindness are the General Greil and his son, Ike.
Ike is 21 and has recently been elevated to the position of a Daein Rider alongside his father. It is customary that the king offers his new generals a gift of anything they desire short of the throne to buy their loyalty and learn their weaknesses. Ike's choice surprises the entire kingdom.

Summary
They stay that way for a long time, Catra’s face tucked into Adora’s shoulder, Adora gently cradling Catra’s head. Adora is careful not to hug Catra too hard or make her feel restrained, anticipating the moment that Catra will start to pull away — but Catra doesn’t. She hangs on so tightly it hurts, her claws digging through Adora’s jacket and into her back, latching into her like she did when she was a kitten and didn’t know how much her claws could hurt. Adora tries not to wince, tries not to move a single muscle, worried that if she does the spell will break and Catra will struggle away, appalled at having shown weakness.
But Catra doesn’t let go. And so neither does Adora.

Summary
Byleth has experienced much in her lifetime. Much more than any normal human would experience in their lifetime. But Byleth was no ordinary human. As the vessel of the Goddess, she has been forced to experience the war many times over. She's become sick of seeing death and destruction, wishing to end the cycle of pain by preventing the war altogether, no matter what the cost. Even if it meant getting close to the monster who would start the war herself.
NG+ fic, in which Byleth has experienced the Blue Lions and Golden Deer routes, acting as a way to look into Byleth as a character and her relationship with Edelgard. Also, please dear lord read the tags. There will be spoilers, blood, death, and more as time goes on. It's M for a reason.
