He was 4 when he was declared Quirkless. 4 years old when he lost his best friend. He was a 4 year old, who had no idea why he was born like that, why his mother was saying sorry when an apology is not what he wanted. He was 4 years old when he was introduced to the cruelty of the society.
He was 5 when he met him. He was 5 when he was laying limp on the ground, whimpering in pain when he came. He was 5 when another hero name was written right next to All Might. Squiggly handwriting, and black inked.
He was 6 when he got his friend back. And 7 when he realized there were only two adults in his life that made him feel safe. He also 7 when he got a person to call Dad
He was 12 when he died. And 12 when he found out that apparently the gods, and luck hadn't entirely abandoned him.
It was also when he was 12 that his rose tinted image of heroes shattered. His dreams crushed mercilessly as he was left alone on a rooftop.
He was 15 when he entered UA. And he was 15 when he took the Hero Industry by a storm.

The moment Izuku lets himself tip forwards over the edge of the building, the sharp wind rushing his face and curls catching in the force of falling, he knows he’d make a grave mistake.
I don’t want to die...
But he’s already made his decision; you can't come back from this. He stares wide-eyed as the ground gets closer and closer as the seconds tick on, eyes squeezing shut as he waits for impact. He awaits the consequences of his own stupid actions and then—
I don’t want to die.
—and then he opens his eyes and he’s stood peering over the edge of the building he’d just fallen from. Beside him, his shoes are tucked neatly on the ledge, backpack leaned on the ground beside them just as he’d left them. Izuku blinks owlishly, leaning forwards to stare ten stories down. Ten stories down where he’d just been a moment prior, only seconds away from hitting the ground.
He’s... back?
And that’s the first time Midoriya Izuku realizes that he does, in fact, have a Quirk.

Summary
Midoriya Izuku is medically quirkless, not technically homeless, perpetually exhausted and doing his damned best despite it all. He also sees spirits, which might be cool if not for the fact that a) no one else does, b) they really don't like him very much, and c) he's pretty sure the heroes now think he's a villain working for the League.
Aizawa Shota just wants to take down Overhaul, rescue Eri, keep his students alive, get some rest, and find out how this Deku kid knows things he absolutely should not know about his personal life and the Shie Hassaikai case.
Unless Nighteye's right, and the kid really is a villain.
