Summary
Being an Emperor’s wife didn’t come without risks, but she hadn’t been prepared for what the sea would ask of her for choosing him, and the ways it would touch her quiet life, in her peaceful corner of the sea. Her little port, which had never been anything but safe.
Sea Songs AU. Fuschia is gone, and the man she loves thinks she’s dead. The sea is dark and vast and terrible, and has no more kindness to spare her than those seeking to use her for their own gain; a pawn in a game she never asked to play, and one they didn’t think she would.
Makino doesn’t blame them. She is, after all, just a girl in a port. But like the sea, appearances deceive, and every sailor knows this truth, and to fear it: that however still and beautiful the surface, the unknown depths should never be taken lightly.

(Alternate ending to One apiece Live Actor Episode 5 and a different plot for Episode 6. Episode 7 would pretty much stay the same.)
What if Nami gave away the map but didn’t go back to Arlong? What if Nami told them her story instead of her sister?

FF that expands on those Luffy time travels as he's back in Foosha Village with Shanks. One of his crew makes it back within a few days to see him.
(Inspired by a lot, not any specifically, but I’ve been binging the entire Time Travel tag with the One Piece fandom on AO3. lol.)
