Summary
Leon does not answer the door when Chris knocks the morning after Arias. There are things to clean up, more people to look after, but he’s been told to give it a rest, to come back tomorrow if he’s able, once he’s had a chance to rest up.
He’s never been the best at sitting still, though. And something about Leon is rubbing him the wrong way, more than usual. Sure, they snip at each other, and sure Leon isn’t the shiny young man he was years ago, all wide eyes and optimism to a fault. But there’s something beyond that, something he can’t put his finger on.
