Gojo Satoru is late.
He can imagine it now, Megumi sitting in class, rolling his eyes with a look of pure annoyance across his face, Nobara at her desk beside him probably giggling into her hand, Yuuji standing up from his desk smiling sweetly greeting him.
Instead when he opens the class room door, its dusty, and the only one inside is Yuuji, sitting at his desk, pictures crazily spread out on his desk- those brown eyes shoot up and meet Gojo's and before he can say anything Yuuji is on his feet and throwing a punch at him.
Gojo Satoru was late but he hardly thinks he deserves to be bullied but still its adorable, how serious Yuuji looks, however it gets less adorable when he realizes his student is convinced he's some kind of curse pretending to be Gojo Satoru and apparently he's dead but he doesn't remember dying.

Months after his death, Gojo comes back to the living. He feels human enough, maybe he can even convince himself he's just a normal ghost with regrets, but the longer he stays in the world of the living the harder it is to deny the changes in his body and mind as his humanity slips through his fingers.

Gojo-sensei had dressed down, his uniform and iconic blindfold replaced by a pair of sweatpants, a jumper and a pair of square sunglasses. He hadn’t said much else, just coming up behind him to peer curiously at what Yuuji was making, grinning and taking a seat at one of the dining tables. Yuuji didn’t need any more cues to realize his sensei was going to join him for the night and so without a word, he increased the portions of the hot chocolate he was simmering on the stove to fit two people.
Suddenly, Yuuji had found himself an unlikely companion for his nightly wanders.
In the comfortable, some times quiet of the night, Yuuji finds solace.
