Summary
Laplace's demon was a thought experiment about causal determinism by Pierre-Simon Laplace in 1814. According to determinism, if someone (the demon) knows the exact location of every particle in the universe then they can determine the past and future of every such particle, and from such they can determine the past and future of the universe.

Eilo lived a normal life. He washed dishes for money, took his medication when dictated, took hikes when he could, and was, generally, a massive nerd.
Then Eilo became a girl dad, became an antique hunter, learned space magic, got adopted, met the love of his life, freed a freighter full of slaves, became leader of an ancient warrior race, and learned the basics of mechanics.
Oh, and also, he discovered that Star Wars was real and that George Lucas had just been having visions this whole time.
