Summary
A few years ago a Hunter hit the scene and made a name for himself. That name? Quicksilver. The crown was vaguely aware of the man, just like they were aware of most of the hunters that took big jobs and survived.
The crown becomes significantly more aware of Quicksilver when Noctis starts talking about the one-eyed man that helped kill the Marilith on a fateful day.
Meanwhile, Quicksilver hasn't had a plan in years. He was never the "planning" guy. He doesn't know what he's doing with his life and doesn't realize how well-known he's becoming. He has some wild mutt of a chocobo, a few guns, and way too many secrets to want limelight.

Summary
After the death of his first child, Iedolas Aldercapt wanted a child that wouldn't die. Failure after failure tormented him and his lead scientist. Finally he cut off the project, leaving one last survivor to act as an heir to bring the people a sense of security.
Skoll Ira Aldercapt has no room to gain his own footing in the empire. Between his father and the chancellor, he finds more in common with the puppet oracle than anyone else. He does not control the empire, the empire controls him. So when plans of treachery are formed, his objections are discarded before they're even spoken. He is there at the treaty signing.

Summary
The war ends ends with a whimper. Hostilities between Lucis and Niflhiem have exhausted both nations, torn up their lands and left them both bruised and bloodied. Niflhiem flinches first. Under the eye of Tenebrae and the Astrals, a ceasefire is made and a road to peace planned. Lucis, not quite satisfied with outlasting their opponent, wants insurance. No one is quite sure how quickly the technologically advanced Niflhiem will bounce back, but Lucis has some dusty laws that can provide what the council wants: a hostage to ensure the empire's continued compliance in the coming years. They don't really consider the spirit of those same laws, or how its protections go both ways.
Prince Prompto Aldercapt agrees to be that gold-plated hostage, becoming the highest (and only) concubine in the crown prince's court. Noctis, unhappy about the arrangement, decides to impose on Prompto as little as possible. They may be forced into the union, but that doesn't mean they have to be miserable. That doesn't mean he's making it easy.
Ignis, meanwhile, is hard at work trying to make things work.

Summary
After the attack on Insomnia, the imperial prince takes up residence in Lucis. He is told that it's to learn how to lead and manage under the guidance of commander Ulldor. However the empire is a treacherous place, and no one is more aware how easily princes can be replaced. Skoll Aldercapt's first concern is survival, his second concern is the daemonic problem rising on the horizon. What's the point in ruling a world blighted to nothingness?
Lucis, meanwhile, wants to whisk the imperial prince away and squeeze every bit of value out of his scrawny body. Noctis Lucis Caelum and his retainers aim to capture the prince, and get a bit more than they bargained for.
Cor, meanwhile, is about to have a bad time.

Summary
There is a way the world works. Lucis-Caelum's are given magic to wield as a weapon against the dark. The Flurets are given magic to fortify against the dark. They are sword and shield, scalpel and stitches, the warrior and the maiden.
When a Lucis Caelum is born with healing magic, they lose their name. They are sent to learn to harness their power, given honors and showered all kinds of pretty words. They go far, far away, to become a part of a new family in a new land. Most Kings wash their hands and focus on the "real" Caelums left behind. Once or twice the practice has saved the bloodline.
King Regis finds the practice a bit old fashioned and a bit silly. He finds the twin accord, to send Fluret skilled in battle magic to the Caelums, just as old fashioned and silly. However the Kings are bound by tradition, and going against an accord with another nation is not a task to take lightly. After a fishing trip with a young Prince Noctis, Regis' attitudes only intensify.

Magic isn't a Solution, it's a Problem for Your Problems by TigerTempest
Fandom Final Fantasy XV

Summary
The six used to be seven, but Astrals don't die in the same way men do. All things end, eventually, but how they end can be very, very important. Every five-hundred years the ancient blight stirs again, and the magic in the world burns white and black.
The astrals used to walk among the people, though modern cosmology claims that they were always distant.
Noctis Lucius-Caelum is to marry princess Lunefreya of Tenebrae for political reasons, complicating his personal feelings surrounding his would-be union. However with daemon activity on the rise and the nights growing more dangerous, both prince and princess have duties above their PR Stunt marriage. After all, Lucis-Caelums have always been a sword against the darkness first and foremost.
Lunafreya Nox-Fluret is a woman blessed with the ability to hear the divine. The problem is, the words They say do not always align with what she's been taught. At least, when the Astrals manage to speak clearly. They don't always get good divine reception and Lunafreya is tempted to start leaving cell phones as Offerings to see what happens.

“There is the Hero, the Wanderer, and the Prisoner, and their story is compelling, but I realized that there is one thing that could be added to make the whole of it much more interesting.”
“And what is that?”
Genesis smirked devilishly. “A villain.”

Summary
Gogatsu-byou; 5月病 ; “May Sickness”
A term for a phenomenon in which feelings of exhaustion and trouble with adjustment arrive in May, typically after the passing of a burst of motivation that comes with the new term starting in April. It was unexpected then, when months had passed since the Earth was rejuvenated and Gale felt a real, non-digital rain drop on his cheek with a soft plip. It felt wet, cold, and entirely real.
