Trapped in a pitch-black, super-heated room in a deep pit of Hell, a tormented, abandoned angel prayed to a demon who was too angry and heartbroken to listen.

Johnny was in that Peter Parker’s body and all he could think about was how massively unfair it was. How unfair that Johnny had to live in a universe where Peter Parker was already all that and it wasn’t even enough. Oh, no.
Peter Parker’s goddamn abs just had to be so much better than Johnny’s.

Spider-Man shifts his gaze to Peter. “You good, buddy? You look like you’re having an aneurysm.”
Johnny giggles. “He thinks this is super weird because he’s not dating his Johnny, duh,” he says, batting a hand at Spider-Man. “I bet he’s internally freaking out right now. It’s what you would do.”
Spider-Man cocks his head. “You’re not dating your Johnny?”
Peter startles back to life. “No!” he exclaims.
Peter meets a version of Johnny that’s dating him. He’s totally normal about it and doesn’t freak out at all.
