Summary
After three years living in a safe house, Sam's relationship with his often-absent mate Steve is rapidly falling apart. In charge of Sam's safety is Bucky, who fears that his decades-long friendship with Steve is in jeopardy as Steve's personality drifts into something darker. After Sam toes the line during a heat alone, Bucky slips into a rut and almost acts on his feelings for Sam, threatening the end of their peaceful life together.
