Summary
One night while partnered up on a stakeout, Damians constant cruelty finally becomes too much for Tim. He flies into a rage and strangles the other boy to death with his bare hands. He regrets his actions the moment Damians body has gone cold but is too afraid of his family's rejection to confess. He covers up his involvement, pinning Damians murder on some random thugs.
Then he watches the family he killed to secure his place in irrevocably change as they grieve and he stews in his own guilt.

Summary
Damian and Richard have come to an agreement. Richard will be Damian’s Caregiver, Damian will continue to be Robin. It's been a rocky path, full of sharp words and even sharper weapons. Now though, things have changed. Both boys have to learn this new layer of their dynamic and to do so works only through trial and error.
If only Damain could accept the fact that his headspace wasn't as horrible as he seems to think.
Oh- and then Steph passes out on their doorstep.
Dick might just be in over his head.

Damian drops from the ceiling pipes, kicking a massive thug directly in the face. "Tom hasn't talked yet," the man had said, and fury was all Damian knew. He would dismantle every single one of these bastards before he let them touch Grayson again.
"You touch my little brother again," Dick growls, his voice uncharacteristically cruel as he blocks another strike with a fractured arm, "and I'll break every bone in your goddamn body."

Or: Damian sneaks onto a criminal cargo ship to act as uninvited backup for Dick’s undercover mission. When the assignment goes sideways and the smugglers turn psychotic, they have to survive a brutal storm, motion sickness, and each other.Post-Bruce coming back from the dead, Dick leaving his Robin, and all the abandonment issues Damian got from that.
