Summary
Ron Weasley dies during the Second War. Death comes to collect him but instead of finality, he offers a wager over a chess. If Ron wins, he may go back and change everything.
Ron wins and respawns as his six-year-old self.
Unfortunately, that self comes with war flashbacks, a front row seat to how badly everything went the first time, and the deeply unpleasant realisation that his entire family is basically walking into a slaughterhouse if he doesn’t intervene.
(or, Ron time travel fix it with loads of worldbuilding and a side of dimension travel for funsies.)

Squinting, Ron realises the wallpaper isn’t moving, it’s the posters on it, which is still the same amount of weird. All the posters looked similar, showing the same group of people waving, throwing a ball, or in the air. One of the people in the posters turns to look at him and winks before flying off on a broom.
“What,” he mutters, empathetically, “the fuck.”

Summary
So you sold your soul without a moment's hesitation to save your sister's life and you're doomed to Hell for eternity, but it's not so bad. The owner of your soul seems to enjoy your presence enough to protect you from the worst that Hell has to offer and employ you as an assistant on his radio show, and after a seven-year sabbatical, seems to even have turned over enough of a new leaf that he inexplicably agrees to help with your friend's idea to open a hotel for rehabilitating sinners, even though he's made it clear multiple times that he doesn't think redemption is possible and cited that it's only for the entertainment of watching you all fail.
It takes you far longer than it probably should have to realize why he really agreed to help you.
