She was disappointed, but her mother had told her that not every voe she met would make a spark, just as every spark does not make a flame. So, she carried on.

Summary
Al's armored hand plunges into Edward's abdomen coated in pride's shadows. Even as the shadows recede Al stands frozen in place. A gurgled cough sounds from the hunched figure, and red liquid appears higher up Al's arm. Ed wavers, losing his tight grip where he'd been bracing against Al's arm as it becomes slick with his blood, and then falls, sliding down and off the smooth metal.
Aka Pride infests Al's armor while he's still conscious and attacks Ed. But, the alchemist has one last plan up his sleeve to achieve his goals.
