    Summary

If the Kremnoans truly decided to settle somewhere else, within the high clouds like the Skyfolk, an island in the distant sea, the mountain of legend that the city had first risen from, then Mydei wouldn’t object. Even if it took him far from Okhema’s high walls where so many of his friends still resided.

There was no reason for Mydei to stay. Not if his responsibilities led him elsewhere. Out of the many things that had once restrained him—a cursed prophecy, a burden of responsibility, a bloodstained crown, and a radiant Coreflame that bestowed upon him the name of Strife—Phainon refused to be another.

Life goes on within the Eternal Pages, including Castrum Kremnos’ mess of internal politics. Where the fortress will settle, now that disaster has been averted and peace restored, is yet undecided but up for debate among Kremnos’ citizens.

To Phainon the mere possibility of the final verdict is daunting enough.

    Summary

“It should’ve been me!” Phainon shoved his face on his pillow, frustrated tears sticking to the corner of his eyes as he then started to smash his head repeatedly against the fluffy pillow. “I want Mydei to look at me like that!” he stopped hitting himself to re-read the same passage, grumbling and biting his lip with a wronged expression.

“Caelus,” he groaned, the name like poison on his tongue. “You already have Dan Heng and that rich noble from Penacony! Leave Mydei to me!” he lamented as he shook his phone on his hands like it was the protagonist’ neck. “Why my precious Mydei had to be the main love interest?! I would have a chance if he were the second male lead!”

Or, Phainon has to fight against fate: will he be able to avoid Mydei's arranged marriage and avoid the protagonist from taking Mydei away from him?

    spoilers for hsr 3.3

When it comes to predatory, soul-sucking gacha games, Cosmic Impact Rail Zero was probably the worst of the worst. Did it have incredible characters? Yes. An engaging storyline? Double yes. Did it make Mydei want to blow his entire paycheck on weapons and skins and more rolls? Of course it did.

But it also killed off basically every character in the game, including the crown prince that shared Mydei's name– Mydeimos the Undying, Son of Gorgo. How the hell was that even possible?! He literally had undying in his title!?

So when the developers ask for feedback, Mydei goes off on a heated tangent– and finds himself reincarnated as his namesake. You know– the doomed prince, destined for a life of hardship? Destined to die?

Not if Mydei has anything to say about it.

    Summary

And Mydeimos was possessive. Phainon was his.
His rival. His equal. His friend. His, his, his, his, his. He threw that word around so generously, as if he truly did not understand its weight. And perhaps, he did not. Perhaps nobody but Phainon ever would, for Phainon was the one cursed to lose everything he cherished, whereas Mydeimos was simply punished for his very existence.

And yet, despite his best premonition, he could not stop the word from itching at the tip of his tongue, or lingering on the forefront of his mind, begging to slip past his lips whenever he took a look at that conspicuously gorgeous body, or those powerful and driven eyes.

An incessant mantra of mine, mine, mine, mine, mine.
